  • 1989 to 2004 Research associate at the Institute of Ferrous Metallurgy in the field of materials testing and fracture mechanics
  • 1989 to 2005 Implementation of European research projects and national research projects
  • Since 2002 Lecture at the University of Freiberg (Saxony)
  • 2006 until today, member of the PBA of numerous national AIF research projects
  • Since 2011 teaching for Master students at the University of Duisburg Essen in the course of study Civil Engineering
  • Since 2011 teaching Master students at the Technische Hochschule Dortmund in the course of study Civil Engineering
  • Since 2016 honorary professorship at the University of Duisburg Essen
  • Since 2018 lectures at RWTH Aachen University for Master students in Computational Mechanics

At this point I would like to remind you of my mentors Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Dr. e.h. Winfried Dahl and Prof. Dr.-Ing. G. Sedlacek. They have made it possible for me, as a young assistant, to create a sound basis for my work as a consultant and engineer in numerous industrial expertises, research projects and standardisation meetings.
